Garlic chicken is .com. HAVE to come here at least one time every time we are in Hawaii. When we have large orders they alway have it ready on time.

Every once in a while, I crave the classic garlic chicken from Fat Boys. I've been coming here on and off since early 2010s for the classic lunch plate. After being away for a while, I decided to stop in for old times sake. Recently when I stopped in, I noticed a difference in their quality and portion size. Although it's been a while since I've been to Fat boys, I felt that the overall experience had changed. Either way, the garlic chicken is a must if you're craving it like I was!

Total mistake. Opted for Fatboys cause my favoirite Waiahole was a long drive. The Kalua pork was basically inedible. The customer service was zero, I mean a smile would have been nice. This was really bad. the rice and mac salad we consumed. $20 for 4 scoups of rice and 2 scoups of mac and mayo.

There appear to be two different yelp pages for the same restaurant. I decided to write my review for the one with more reviews. They serve most of their breakfast menu all day. Unfortunately, the item I wanted most was NOT one of them (the fried rice with a burger, hash and fried egg). There is communal outdoor seating only.
I decided to get the Fatboy Bento, which I assume is one of their staples. It's a bed of rice with seaweed flakes and sesame seeds and then on top of that is beef, hot dog, spam, garlic chicken and shrimp tempura. Nice to sample a bit of everything. Garlic chicken was good, but I was turned off by the fact it sits up front in a heated bin and the rest of the meat is cooked to order in the back (or at least it appears to be that way). -

Pigged out here in my last visit, ordered the garlic chicken w/ mac salad, rice bowl & chili, and a Fatboy Hamboyger (that spelling is correct) all for myself. The garlic chicken is a must, I think I've had it every time. However, the clear winner this year around was the Hamboyger. Ate it too quickly before realizing I should have taken a picture. Looked delicious, tasted delicious, honestly nothing specially added to it, just cooked and executed nicely with great ingredients. HAM-BOOYAH!
